It is baffling why a person can survive with a salary of Kshs.8,000 and still maintain a debt fee life, with three kids comfortably schooling. While another person with a salary of Kshs. 70,000 struggle with debts and is barely making ends meet, in the same economy.

My take. Don’t kill yourself for what you don’t have. Contentment is a great gain.
Little is much if the LORD is involved.

Here could be a reason:

Consumer behaviour is a actually how people strive to dispose ideas. How they use the goods available in a particular market to satisfy their needs and wants. It actually explains behaviours of end consumers in the market set up and their prevailing motives and intentions.

Marketers in particular are well aware of this factor. They use this mechanism to study what causes the consumers to use a particular product and why some products become obsolete in the market. They further use this to enhance product model, packaging, pricing, product promotion, positioning and place of dissemination of the products.

So with the proliferation of brands in the market and the heightened level of competition, each of the marketers compete for the salary of the consumer.

This brings us to consumerism:

Human beings acquire or strive to get goods and services in increasing measure. This is where people believe that their wellbeing is directly proportional to the level or extent of personal consumption of the purchased goods. The more you have, the happier you are.

That is why as the salary increases people tent to increase their needs and literally needs increase and so on.

My take. Don’t kill yourself for what you don’t have. Contentment is a great gain.
Little is much if the LORD is involved.
